We are recruiting for an experienced Buildings and Maintenance Manager to join a growing Nursery provider, based across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex. The Buildings and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all building-related activities across all 40 Nurseries and Head Office. You will be able to travel regularly to all sites within the group.
As the Buildings and Maintenance Manager, some of your role will include:
- Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet H&S standards
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Handle insurance plans and service contracts
- Managing budgets and accounts, including areas for cost savings
- Project manage any new nurseries or acquisitions relating to the buildings and sites
- Line manage a team of 4 maintenance (trades) staff
As the Buildings and Maintenance Manager, you will need:
- Experience in the building sector, understanding contracts, budgets and the quality of workmanship needed to be carried out
- Able to oversee buildings projects ensuring contractors are delivering value for money in a timely and high quality manner
- Experience within a multi site environment
- People management experience
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
- Full driving licence
- Friendly, positive and can-do attitude
